DRopoff and Pickup

The first day of our program is Monday, September 9th, 2019. PTO hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Drop off begins at 8:55 a.m. Please do not arrive any earlier because our teachers need this time to prepare their classrooms for the day. However, if you do, you will be asked to wait in the hall at the front door.

Our pick up time is 12:00 p.m.   We ask that you please wait outside in the designated area at the back door our teachers will bring your child out to you.  All other classes will follow.

If your child will be picked up by anyone other than you, please let their teacher know in the morning during drop off. If we are not notified that someone else is picking your child up we will not release them until we get your permission.   Only you, or the people authorized by you on the Child Release Form you provided at registration will be permitted to pick up your child.  The alternate person will be asked to show proper ID.  If there are any separation or custody issues we must have a copy of the court orders.

If your child needs to be picked up early please let his or her teacher know. There is a $10.00 late fee charged for every five minutes you are late picking up your child. The fees are due on the next day your child is scheduled to attend. Please plan your time so that you can be back to pick your child up at 12:00 p.m. or make arrangements for an alternate person to be there. (The late fee will still be charged if your alternate is late.) If an emergency should arise, call the church office at (856) 845-1627 to let me know of your situation.

Parking can be a problem some days, due to the limited number of spaces.   Please do not park in front of the back steps, in front of the stop sign, or in the street.  To avoid being ticketed, only park in the spaces clearly marked Kemble church, or in the public lot behind the Woodbury Public Library.

First Day FOR YOUR CHILD

To make the transition easier for your child, we ask that you make your goodbyes happy and quick. Assure your child that they will have fun, that you love them, and that you’ll be back in a short time to pick them up. Please do not stay in the classrooms or let your child see you peeking in the windows. This may cause them to become upset or afraid. It also makes it difficult for the staff to get your child interested in an activity and get them calmed down. Our staff is prepared to have some, if not all of the children crying in the beginning days. We will do everything possible to make them feel comfortable and at ease. If, for any reason in the following days or weeks we cannot get your child calmed down and begin to take part in the classroom activities, we will call you and make arrangements for them to be picked up.

PICTURES:  If you wish to take pictures on the first day of school please take them outside on the back steps or wait until the program has ended to take them in their classrooms.  We ask this because in the first days of school the children have a hard enough time adjusting without any further disruptions.

  2. Please provide a snack or lunch and drink for your child for our 11:00 a.m. snack time.

  3. For children in Nursery or 2-3 Year classes you may want to pack an extra drink in case your child gets thirsty during playtime.

  5. If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday by bringing in a snack for the class, we will be happy to do so, just let your child’s teacher know a day or two ahead of time.

  6. Your child will need to have a change of clothes and undergarments in their bag at all times. If they wear diapers or pull-ups, please have them and wipes in their bag also.

  7. Please mark all of your child’s belongings sent into the program: coats, jackets, hats, gloves, change of clothing, etc.

If your child will be absent we ask that you call the church office (856-845-1627) starting at 8:45 a.m. or email me at normajeanpto@yahoo.com. Our teachers plan their day according to the number of children in attendance, and if someone is absent it could cause things to change.

Throughout the year, PTO will be holding fundraisers. We are a non-profit program and these help offset some of the fees and expenses we occur. Fundraising is a great way for our program to take part in lots of extra activities such as: parties for holidays, fun events, trips, new toys, new books, supplies and more. Although your participation is not required, it would be greatly appreciated and very helpful to our program.

There are no refunds or make-ups for days that are missed.  If your child is running a fever, has a severe cold, or any contagious virus, infection, or disease you must keep your child home, per state regulations.  Please keep your cell phone on during school hours in case your child becomes ill, and we need to reach you to arrange for pick-up.   rest assured, we will make your child as comfortable as possible until you are able to arrive.  By law, we cannot dispense any medication.  Please have your child take any necessary medications before or after school hours.
